May this message find everyone in the very best of spirits and Health...Here I go again...
The new skill I acquired was How to Download Images from a Digital Camera to a personal computer.
Although most digital cameras come with their own software, Windows Vista has its own built-in wizard for downloading (or importing) images. (If your camera comes with its own downloading software, download your images with that program.) If your camera or card reader is supported within Windows Vista (Check uses the Scanner and Camera Wizard to download images...
1. Connect the cable that came with your camera (or your external card reader) to the corresponding port on your PC.
This port is very likely your PC's USB port. The Scanner and Camera Wizard screen appears when you plug in the USB cable from your camera.
2. If you want to assign an optional tag to the images from this camera, click in the Tag These Pictures text box and type the description.
By default, Vista uses the tag you enter to name the images and videos when they're imported. For example, if you enter the tag Fun Photos, the filenames are Fun Photos 001.jpg, Fun Photos 002.jpg, and so on.
3. Click import to begin downloading the images.
After the download is complete, Windows Vista automatically opens the Window Photo Gallery with the photos you just downloaded in the pane on the right side of the window.
After the images have been tranferred, you can unplug your camera's cable. If you're done with your images, you can close the Photo Gallery application.
I hope you guys/gals learned something, I surely did. The Web-site I learned this skill was at;

First Introduction to Language
Around the fifth or sixth month of gestation, a baby can hear distinctive external sounds from within the womb. A baby's first introduction to language is by hearing the mother engaged in conversation with others, as well as, by listening attentively when the mother speak directly to the fetus.Read more: How Do Children Learn Language? eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5006368_children-learn-language.html#ixzz1XtG9VdmC
Absorb Knowledge
An child's mind has an acute ability to retain knowledge. Children can expand on the native language and even learn multiple languages by listening to audio multi-lingual recordings of routine words. This helps children to stimulate and build cognitive memorizationRead more: How Do Children Learn Language? eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5006368_children-learn-language.html#ixzz1XtGLduVH
School-Aged Language Learners
Educationally, children are further exposed to language by the abundance of reading opportunities presented at school. However, studies have proved that the influence of literature at home also promotes linguistic proficiency. Parents who encourage their children to read out loud at home, are effectively expanding on their child's ability to express themselves.Read more: How Do Children Learn Language? eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5006368_children-learn-language.html#ixzz1XtGUjv7Q

two minutes of me
My two minutes of me blog was done by using Google images for my photo clips, and Audacity 1.3 Beta, and Archives for the audio. The sites were opened and inputted into Windows Movie Maker. Background music was taken from an MP3 player and downloaded to the computer and copied to Windows Movie Maker. All three sites were dragged in to windows Movie Maker time-line, thus producing this two minute video about me.

Ipsative Assessment and
Peer Assessment
Ipsative Assessment style--
What I like about the Ipsative Assessment style is that it always challenges you to improve on whatever you previously did, and allowing you to be the best you can be. With the Ipsative Assessment style one immediately knows where they stand amongst other individuals who are also competing in areas such as yours. With this assessment style there's no sugar coating anything, numbers don't lie. This style also shows you right where you need the improvement, so you can put total concentration on that area.
Peer Assessment style--
The value of this learning style allows you to be judged by your peers. I believe honest feedback from your fellow peers is extremely important for the students self-esteem, and personal growth. As a student/peer you might not really care what your parent/teacher has to say, but when it comes from one of your peers, self awareness starts to develop. As parents/teachers we see the individual strengths, as well as weaknesses. Students might also feel personally attacked, failure, or not living up to expectations.

What is the difference between Searching verses Researching?
Searching- involves getting the answer but not the source of the answer. Searching is finding the answer but in in detail.
the quality of information is, in most cases, not particulary well-indicated
Researching- involves digging deep. like finding the mother load, original data from the original source. here is where one finds important information than just the answer, this is actual information from the event as it happened., rather than someone else's opinion after reading and re-writing the soursce.

Depending on what your curriculum is, blogs can be very beneficial
and rewarding. Blogs can also be a source of instant feedback, as well as a
loud voice when needing to communicate to the masses. Blogs are an inexpensive
way of advertising your message or product. When used for the wrong reasons,
blogs can quickly destroy someone's reputation without knowing who sent the
damaging information, (accounts can be made anonymously). Whether the
information that’s being blogged is good or bad, it reaches many in a short
time.
I believe if the blog isn't written
well the proper message can be lost due to improper communication. (The tone of
the message the blogger is intending to send is lost, and not being fully
captured as the blogger intended).
I also believe the lack of correct
communication will not allow the respondent to acknowledge the true intent of
the message the blogger is intending without being confused, and continually
asking more questions.
